Magic Kingdom
The Walt Disney World Resort is home to four separate theme parks, two water parks and several other attractions. The four theme parks are the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Epcot, the two water parks are Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Each of the theme parks houses its own unique set of rides, attractions, entertainment and shows that pertain to its theme. Each park takes roughly a full day to complete, so if you plan to visit Disney be sure to give yourself the appropriate amount of time! However of all the four parks one of them is the most popular, in fact it has repeatedly won the “Most visited theme park in the world” award for several years straight. In all the Disney commercials and advertisements the first park you will see is the Magic Kingdom. With Cinderella’s Castle at the center of the theme park this large structure has quickly become the icon of Magic Kingdom and Disney itself! If you are going to visit the Disney World Resort then the Magic Kingdom should be the first park you visit!
The Magic Kingdom is separated into six separate areas, much like the rest of the Disney World theme parks. Each zone has its own unique set of rides and attractions pertaining to its theme. When you enter the park you will find yourself on Main Street U.S.A., from there you have access to the other five; Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. Main Street U.S.A. is where you can find all the shops and restaurants, so you can either purchase your souvenirs when you enter or leave the park. You can often find Disney characters here interacting with guests. This part of the park is often filled with holiday decorations depending on the season!
Next you can find Adventureland, themed after foreign once unexplored lands. Travel through the Jungle on Jungle Cruise and come face to face with exotic animals and wild tribes. Then make your way over to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and explore the adventurous world of the cursed pirates. When you are done in Adventureland step into Frontierland and relive the days of the Wild West. If your are looking for cowboys and Indians and exploring the mysterious rivers of America you can find it right here! Take a roller coaster ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or cool of from the summer heat on Splash Mountain! Even take a relaxing seat and enjoy one of Disney’s oldest singing groups at the Country Bear Jamboree.
Next visit the Liberty Square and enter the Hall of Presidents, where animatronics work to bring history alive. Then head over to the haunted mansion and come face to face with ninety nine comical ghosts! When you are done in Liberty Square head over to Fantasyland and enjoy some of Disney’s most classic characters. Here you can find rides such as Peter Pan’s Flight, Dumbo the flying Elephant, “It’s a Small World,” Winnie the Pooh and many, many more!
